First NGO for the Visually impaired in Karnataka
Introduced Orientation and Mobility into the curriculum with trained resources since 1974
Integrated the disABLED into regular educational streams since 1982
Started a Teacher Training program in 1984 that is nationally recognized
Commenced services for children with Multiple disABILITIES including blindness with mental retardation and dead blind in 1986
Computer training for the visually impaired in 1995 and Vocational Training in 2004
Physiotherapy Unit 2008
