About The Founder
Summary
In 1958, it was shifted to the present building built on the site provided by Government of Karnataka.
The idea of the founding-fathers was to put an end to female infanticide, also to shelter and support orphan/abandoned infants, from day-one onwards. The children are referred by the child welfare committee [CWC], Makkala Sahaya Vani [Child help line] in addition to the one abandoned at the road or left at the gates of the Shishunivasa are given shelter and solace.
Anatha Shishu Nivasa has a sprawling compound with a spacious building consisting of 2 halls (Darmotory), a dining, a kitchen, a store, a study room & library, bathrooms and toilet blocks.
