She brought them to the knowledge of General Terence Keyes, a British resident of Hyderabad and founder of the Secunderabad Temperance Association. The aim of this association was to control alcoholism in India, Being a person with social responsibility, he donated 2 acres of land in Bansilalpet to build a home for the Disabled. An anonymous lady donated 10,000 rupees to construct building, Philanthropists from Hindu, Muslim, Parsee and Christian communities came together and formed a managing committee.
