World Humanitarian Day 2016
“Most wars, after all, present themselves as humanitarian endeavours to help people.” -Howard Zinn Martin Luther King Junior once said that, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: what are we doing for others?” Lately, we have witnessed the booming spectre of global terrorism and civil strife across the world. We live in times plagued by refugee crisis, drone attacks and Kim Jong Un. This prompted us to commemorate the World Humanitarian Day this year. We, at Living To Change, decided to hold an event in South Mumbai, India through across three different chapters in distinct areas. We sought to hold this in deference to the sacrifices laid by the combatants and the civilians who were wounded and lost their lives in wars, drone attacks and terrorist attacks.
