• Studied MSW with Specialization in Medical & Psychiatry with 2nd Rank to Mangalore University.
• Post-Graduation Diploma in Industrial Relation and Personnel Management from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan,
• Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation) from Bangalore University.

She runs two Residential schools for Intellectually Challenged Children at Hospet and Hassan and providing services for 150 Specially Abled as of now. Hospet School itself having 121 specially Abled . In 2019 three students from Saadhya Special School Hospet participated at Special Olympics World Summer Games 2019 won International M Show More

Summary

Our initiative began with establishing a special school in Hassan and Hosapete (Karnataka) Both schools are recognized by Dept of Empowerment of Differently abled & senior Citizen, Govt of Karnataka and aspire to Provide the highest quality of special Education and Vocational Training to the Differently Abled Children, Who come to us with any form of Intellectual Disabilities.


In both the schools we have children from very poor socio economic background and there are lack of awareness on Special Education. SAADHYA aims in bringing such children to mainstream and provide them training in special Education, Sports and Culture, main stream employment and make them self dependent. As this is very challenging profession and it can be done only by the help of parents, comunity and philanthropist.

Our school at Hassan started on 29/09/2016 with 2 special children and present strength of the school is 35 children and Hosapete school started on 14/10/2016 with 7 special children and present strength of the school is 124. We have plan of training 300 childrens and adult with intellectual disability by 2022. Within three and half years we have produced 3 special athletes who Had been participated at world summer games, 2019 which was held at Abu Dhabi, and two main stream employment at EVOLVE BACK Hampi. Today SAADHYA has a wide canvas of successfully run initiatives.

All our efforts would not have borne results, had not been for the continued support of our donors. On behalf of the trustees, beneficiaries and staff of SAADHYA, we offer our sincere appreciation and hope for continued support so that we can impact the lives of many more specials.

Transformation of veena after joining saadhya trust for social development

Veena’s father is a temple priest who earns less than Rs. 4000 per month. Given the family’s situation, it was particularly difficult to handle Veena’s tendency towards hyperactivity and manhandling. When the family approached Saadhya, the team turned to powerlifting as a solution. Veena trained hard every day and was so tired that her aggressive behaviour reduced. Veena went on to participate in national and international powerlifting events. She won two silver and two bronze medals, and was awarded Rs. 8 lakhs by the Government of India. Thanks to this recognition

Transformation of Naveen Kumar after joining saadhya trust for social development

Naveen Kumar is a 43-year-old athlete who trained with Saadhya to participate in the 100m race at the national level. He won the bronze medal and was awarded Rs. 5000 by the government. Thanks to his athletics, he was hired by a resort in Hampi where he has been working for the last two years. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted his employment, he uses his training and skills to help his mother at home.
