Summary
ASHRAYA- meaning ‘SHELTER’ is a non–governmental organization founded and registered in India, in 1982. Our vision is to extend holistic solutions to families to improve their quality of life, and we do this by focusing on women and children who are currently amongst the most vulnerable sections of our society.
Crèche program:
The children are equipped to join formal school after attending the crèches for a year.
Each crèche is staffed by a Bal-Sevika trained teacher, assistant teacher and helper.
To ensure the children maintain their health and are meeting their developmental goals we provide a daily nutritious lunch and porridge and organize regular doctor’s visits with periodic height/weight checks.
