About The Founder
Rahim Shaik
Rahim Shaik, the founder of Need Base India, has been working in the areas of child care and protection for more than 15 years now. As a member of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) at Bangalore between 2007 and 2010, he has been exposed to the challenging circumstances under which children tend to live on the streets. He was nominated by the Department of Women and Child, Karnataka State.

Summary
Need Base India (A foundation for Child Care and Development) is a non profit organization started with the intention to work on issues of care, protection and education for the street and vulnerable children and children out of school. It was setup in Dec 2009.
Need Base India works with those families who do not have the capacity in bringing-up their children for whatever may be the reason. Under such circumstances one cannot expect that the children will be safe and also opportunity for keeping the child and family together may not be possible by considering the child rights perspective. So to ensure care and protection, we are running three residential centers at Bangalore in the Govt. School premises.
